(RTTNews) - Gorillaz has just released a new single, "On Melancholy Hill," a track off of their third studio album, Plastic Beach. The song has been called "uplifting," even though the title of the track clearly denotes a dismal tone. It's supposedly about reflecting on what it would be like to endure an apocalypse with that one special someone. Plastic Beach's first single was "Stylo." The album was released this past March. The English virtual band is stepping in for U2 on June 25 as the Friday night headliner at Glastonbury due to Bono's emergency back surgery. After band members Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett wished Bono "all the best" and expressed their exuberance for being given the chance to play the renowned festival.
